Exodus [Discografia] [1985-2007]

Exodus es un grupo de thrash metal formado en 1982 en San Francisco, California, por Kirk Hammett, Tom Hunting, Paul Baloff y Gary Holt. En 1983 Kirk Hammett fue a formar parte de Metallica y fue reemplazado por Rick Hunolt. Rob McKillop fue reclutado como bajista. Poco antes del lanzamiento de Pleasures Of The Flesh en 1987, Paul Baloff se fue de la banda y fue reemplazado por Steve “Zetro” Souza.

Exodus se escindió en 1992, recomponiéndose en 1996 con el nuevo bajista Jack Gibson. Luego de una gira mundial que incluyó el regreso del vocalista Paul Baloff, la banda volvió a disolverse hasta septiembre del 2001, fecha en que la banda se reforma incluyendo nuevamente en las voces a Steve Souza. En el año 2003 es editado Tempo of the Damned, un disco que fue cálidamente recibido por la crítica y los fans, el disco fue dedicado a la memoria de Paul Baloff , quien falleció en el año 2002 por un ataque al corazón. Posteriormente la banda inicia una gira mundial relativamente exitosa, pero esta formación prueba ser demasiado inestable y posteriormente a la cancelación de varias fechas programadas en el tour, la banda anuncia la partida de Steve Souza, Rick Hunolt y Tom Hunting, siendo suplantados por Rob Dukes (el técnico de guitarras de Gary Holt en una de sus giras), Lee Altus (ex-Heathen) y Paul Bostaph (Ex-Slayer, Ex-Forbidden), respectivamente. A finales del 2005, la renovada banda publica Shovel Headed Kill Machine, el cual, según Gary Holt, es una secuela del anterior Tempo of the Damned. En mayo de 2007 retornó a la banda el baterista Tom Hunting. El 23 de octubre de 2007 salió el disco “The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit A”, la primera de dos partes, de la cual se espera que salga su continuación “The Atrocity Exhibition… Exhibit B” a mediados de 2008
